Mainova Frankfurt Marathon
Frankfurt runs flat and fast through the heart of one of Germany's most compact cities, finishing on a straight boulevard in front of cheering crowds. It's a genuine PR course, and the field knows it.

The Course
Race-Day Weather
Late October in Frankfurt usually means a cool, damp morning and a mild afternoon. You'll likely start in the low-to-mid 40s, so dress in a layer you're happy to ditch in the first few miles. By the time you're deep into the back half, temps climb into the high 50s, which is comfortable running weather. Wind can be a factor on an exposed loop course, so check the forecast the day before. Overall it's a window that tends to favor fast times, but don't skip the throwaway layers at the start.
Entry
Online registration open through October 18, 2026 at regular rates. Late registration October 5-25 at higher fee. Early registrants pay lower fees (EUR 111-156 depending on bib number). Charity and qualifier entries also available.

Most travelling runners fly into FRA, about 7 miles from the start, right on the doorstep by rideshare or transit, roughly a 11-minute trip. Stay close to the start in Frankfurt so you're not fighting race-morning closures and transit on tired legs. Arrive a day early to clear the expo and bib pickup, and build in buffer for gear-check and corral entry.
