Auckland Marathon
The Auckland Marathon takes you across the Harbour Bridge and along the Waitemata waterfront in New Zealand's biggest city. Mild spring conditions and a mostly flat course make it one of the most approachable marathons in the Southern Hemisphere.

Race-Day Weather
November in Auckland sits right at the start of the Southern Hemisphere summer, and race day tends to be mild and pleasant. A mid-50s start is comfortable enough that you won't need much on the line, but by the time you're into the back half the temperature is climbing into the mid-60s. It's rarely brutal, but the humidity can make the effort feel stickier than your pace suggests. Don't bank on a cool day all the way through. Stay on top of hydration early.
Entry
Open registration available through the official website. Entries allocated at tiered prices; prices increase once allocations are exhausted. Limited to marathon-only cap capacity.

Most travelling runners fly into AKL, about 11 miles from the start, right on the doorstep by rideshare or transit, roughly a 17-minute trip. Stay close to the start in Auckland so you're not fighting race-morning closures and transit on tired legs. Arrive a day early to clear the expo and bib pickup, and build in buffer for gear-check and corral entry.
