Kentucky Derby Festival Marathon
The Kentucky Derby Festival Marathon takes you through Louisville in late April, a loop course with rolling terrain, open registration, and the energy of the city's biggest week built into every mile.

Race-Day Weather
Late April in Louisville can go a few different ways. You might get a cool, comfortable morning that rewards racing. You might get a warm, humid day that makes the rolling terrain feel twice as hard. The average high reaches the low 70s by race time, so the back half of the race can turn into heat management if the morning warms quickly. Start conservatively and hydrate from the first aid station, not when you feel thirsty.
Entry
Open registration with lottery elements during high-demand periods. Charity program available for fundraisers. Virtual race option available.
