Registration opens at 12:01 a.m. ET on January 1 and closes at noon ET on November 4, or when the race sells out. The race has sold out 13 consecutive years, so register early. Charity entry is available through the Run For A Cause program.

Yes. The course is USATF-certified and accepted by the BAA as a qualifying race. In 2025, 18.8% of finishers ran a Boston qualifying time.

The time limit is 7 hours. The finish line closes at 3:30 p.m. and runners must maintain a minimum pace of 16:00 per mile. Runners must also reach the marathon/half marathon split (between miles 7 and 8) by 10:25 a.m. to continue.

The course is mostly flat with approximately 300 feet of total elevation gain. The most notable hills occur between miles 15 and 18, with no single climb exceeding about 60 feet. Course elevation ranges from 699 to 776 feet above sea level.

Race day in early November averages a high of 58°F and a low of 39°F, with cool, crisp conditions. Light wind is possible, and there is a small chance of rain, but conditions are generally ideal for distance running.

In 2025, there were 6,674 marathon finishers, making it one of the top 15 largest marathons in the United States. The event has sold out every year for 13 consecutive years.

Yes. Deferrals to the following year's event are offered with proof of injury, pregnancy, or military deployment. The deferral fee is $20 and documentation must be submitted by September 25 of the race year.
