Race-Day Weather
April in Vienna starts cool, usually in the low 40s at the gun, and climbs into the mid-to-upper 50s by the time you're on the Ringstrasse. That's a pretty good window for racing: a crisp start you'll warm into, and rarely hot enough to cost you time in the back half. Wind can be a factor on the Danube Canal stretch early on, so don't fight it. Dress in layers you can ditch, and you'll be comfortable from start to finish.
Entry
First-come, first-served registration with no lottery. Starting places are limited and registration closes when capacity is reached. Entry fee: €155 for the marathon.

Vienna International Airport (VIE) is approximately 16 minutes to the city center via City Airport Train (CAT) or S-Bahn. The race starts in the Kaisermühlen/Donaustadt district near UNO-City; stay centrally if possible for easy access. Public transport is recommended as race-day traffic restrictions apply.
