Ottawa Marathon
Ottawa's marathon runs through the heart of Canada's capital, past parliament buildings and along the Rideau Canal, on a course that suits runners chasing a time. It's open to all, well-organized, and genuinely fast when the late-May weather plays along.

Race-Day Weather
Late May in Ottawa can go a few ways. Mornings are usually comfortable, cool enough that a throwaway layer at the start is worth considering. But by the back half of the race, temperatures can climb into the low-to-mid 70s and that gap between start and finish is where people get into trouble. Humidity is moderate but not oppressive. Plan to hydrate from mile one rather than waiting until you feel it.
Entry
Open registration available for all runners. Elite athletes must meet athletic standards and apply separately. Green Bib option available to support charities in lieu of finisher medal.
