Mexico City Marathon
The Mexico City Marathon runs through the heart of one of the world's largest cities, starting at the Olympic stadium and finishing at the historic Zócalo. It is a legitimately fast course at high altitude, which makes finishing it a statement in itself.

Race-Day Weather
Late August in Mexico City means mild mornings and warm afternoons. The start temperature is comfortable, often in the low 50s, but the day heats up as you run. Rain is also a real possibility since it's the rainy season. You might get wet, you might get lucky. The bigger factor is altitude, not temperature. Even on a cool day, the thin air will make your effort feel harder than your splits suggest. Don't let the pleasant morning fool you into going out too fast.
