What to expect
March in Hilo means warmth and humidity from the gun. You're looking at a mid-60s start that climbs into the upper 70s as the morning goes on. The humidity is the real factor. Even on the flat stretches, the pace will feel harder than your splits suggest. Don't rely on the cool early miles to set your pace. Carry the assumption that it's going to be a warm day and plan accordingly.
